Is anyone else having a problem with their trunk release sticking? It's not cold weather because it doesn't get cold in SoCal. I have to press the release button 5 or 6 times before it actually unlatches! crapola

Other than accidentally hitting the trunk release while driving, no.

Yes, I have the exact same problem, also in SoCal, also a vert. I find that pushing down on the trunk tends to release it. It's really quite annoying.

I had it too, trunk lid needed something re-aligned and lubricated. And it don't do it no more.

I had the same problem. I took it to the dealer and they said that the weather stripping tends to stick. When it sticks like that it doesn't let the release latch release, which doesn't let it open.

What they did was simply clean the weather stripping of the oily lube thats on it, so it isn't as sticky to the actual car anymore. It has worked perfectly after that!

all you need to do is spray wd-40 into the latch when it is up, then open and close it a few times, then spray a little more. that will be $10 please!
