I have a 90 vert, I am going to paint it this winter and replace the trunk lid. Is it possible to convert it over to the hinge setup that is found on Notches? I find that a much cleaner look....

The vert has the hinge setup that they do because there is no space for the torsion bar system that the coupe has.

A lot of coupe owners have converted their decklids over to the vert hinges because it creates more useable space in the trunk.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

it will also allow you you keep your trunk open without having to prop it up with a bar.

buy a notch lid and drill the holes for the vert hinges. then you have a smooth lid without the ghey luggage rack.

There is a kit that doesn't use the spindle spring things that replaces them with trunk shocks. Here is the site for it maybe it will help you out and maybe not. At least I tried to help a follow mustang lover.
