i was just wondering how everybody that has one likes it? is it easy to use? or is the FAST system better? thanks.

What is the TwEECer?

The TwEECer is an advanced tuning device, providing you the key that opens the door to the Ford EEC (Electronic Engine Control). With the opening of this door you will be able to control all aspects of spark advance, fuel delivery, air metering, Transmission shift points, converter lock/unlock, shift pressure. Emissions equipment disabling and elimination of trouble codes.

I have the r/t and like it. Not really easy to learn to use, but people most of the time answer questions.

I don't know much about FAST, except it seems lots of high powered cars use it.

Probably not a fair comparison between a twEECer and a FAST system - they are two totally different animals.

I have one - love it. If you really want to learn how your car works then it's pretty good - you'll find a lot of guys asking this same question in the Tuning forum if you run a search. twEECer knowledge does not come easy - you WILL spend hours working with it.

If you just want a reliable, safe tune you may be better off going with a dyno tune from a pro.

I could not disagree with you
but
I'd like to add a bit concerning two of the points you made here

1) Yes, it will take some time to gain a bit of proficiency with the
Tweecer.

Like you ... I've enjoyed the time I've spent teaching myself the ins
and outs of self tuning with the Tweecer interface. Some may
consider the learning process a negative experience. It almost
seems to fall in one of two categories ...........
Peeps love it
or
Peeps hate it

2) Now ... About that reliable and safe tune

I feel it needs to be said that anyone who has acquired the
basic knowledge of how our 94-95 pcm goes about doing its
business is just as capable of using a Tweecer to Self Tune
their Stang to a level of reliability no different than a Pro.

Self Tune does not necessarily mean inferior tune

There are skilled and unskilled peeps no matter if we are
talking Self or Pro Tune

Wes ... I know you are trying to point out one just doesn't
buy a Tweecer and tune their Stang is one afternoon.

You are so right about the investment in time and money
is all about learning a skill

I've told others in the past its kinda like this .....

If you are one who usually wonders about what makes
things tick .........

You might find the Tweecer experience to be a positive one.

thanks guys, but is it able to edit things like when i shift the pcm retards the timing, that is what i have read about the 94-95 cobra computers......etc. just trying to get some imput on the product before i make the desition to buy. would it be a good investment noting everything that i have done to my car, not much but......just wondering. thanks a lot again. and yes i love learning how things function and work so i guess it would be good for me.

the pms system is another option.....from what i hear its easy to use and can edit while you drive

yes you can remove the timing retard between shifts. you may want to download the caledit software and play with it a bit to help you understand everything the tweecer can do.

Also read the PDF manual included with the software - it is very informative.

Kyle is so right about the PMS!

It is more user friendly for sure

Many have used it to self tune their Stang with great success

I do wanna point out the methods each option uses is quite different

The cost will be different as well and even more so if you equip the
PMS with datalogging ability.

IMHO ...You would be wise to look at the PMS
before
Making a decision about which self tuning interface to go with

You might wanna look at the SCT Pro Racers interface as well

btw ... My site has a few screen shots of the Tweecer tuning and
datalogging software as well as some basic info of how it interacts
with our pcm. It is an older version of software but the info is valid
no matter what version you might use.

Perhaps that could give you an idea or two

saw on a local forum that there is a new software package coming out on the tweecer...real time tuning, like those moats setups...not just dataloging. That and a much greater advanced easy to use software that does alot of stuff.

I am no holding my breath but if this is the case...damn.

better software would be great, But, Im happy with my tweecer, does everything i want it to do and then some. Not the easiest to learn but once you do its a breeze.
