I just wanted to post a quickie in case anyone else notices a similar issue. I'm one of the last two guys on SN using dial-up (on IE 8) and have been seeing some slow page loading at times. When it bogs, sometimes the threads or sub-forum pages load with all the text underlined. When this occurs, there can be weird issues on top of it.
Exempli gratia: when editing a post, a PDF-type hand appears instead of a cursor. I have to right click and then left click to make the hand go away and have the cursor inserted into the text body.
Anyhow, it's not a gripe and I don't care much about getting any help with it, as I feel it will fix itself. But I did want to mention it in case it's something others have noticed and not an issue on my end of things.
