Can we still use gauges that have the tach go up to 8k?

Do we have to have it stop at 7k? or could we use the 8k one?

THANKS

If your planning on spinning your motor that fast do yourself a favor and buy an accurate tach (autometer) because at that rpm if your stock tach is off by 200-500 rpm you could destroy your motor.

its not a matter of havin a 8k tach. I could careless if it stopped at 6k for now....

Its just a set of white faced gauges on Ebay that im lookin at. Thats all......

Trust me when if i were to show off an 8k tach......my motor will run it.

Aint no rice this way.

Ahh, I see. Well if it is just an "overlay" (a piece that slides over the original gauge), then it might say 8,000, but it won't be 8,000.
I would just make a mental note of where the actual numbers are.

oooooor you could get some that actually stop at 7k.
these are what I have.

@ night they look... glowy. I use the blue setting and turn the brightness down with the dimmer. I only have pictures of them being green though.

As for where I mounted the switch, well I haven't yet. I'm still switching my interior from black/grey to black so it's still up in the air, but this is how I have it routed right now.

Also check this post on Corral on installing them as the instructions that they ship with .. well .. suck?

hmmm looks good...cant wait. I think i will put it on the bottom right corner of the gauge "arch" border. I have no clue on what u calll it. Kinda like the same position of the rear defroster but on the other side by the center console.

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE PICS

How do you like your set? More importantly hows the quality? I am just a little hesitant b/c they are only $25 buck on ebay? Would the blue setting mtach the color of some autometer C2 guages (I don't know why you would know the answer to that, unless you have some, sorry)?

red94fiveo - I like my set. The quality is pretty good. Simple pieces of plastic that slip over the original gauges. Kind of hard to screw up, really.
I don't know what the C2 gauges look like, sorry.
