Is anyone using this in their 3650 and does it improve cold weather shifts?

Tremec says not to use GM Syncromesh in the 3650 because the sycronizers are made of a fiber material and the fluid will make the material swell. It's ok to use in it other Tremecs that don't use fiber material for the syncros.

Ford does not want or recommed using synthetic or semi-syn fluids in this trans. just about everyone I know who use synthetic in Ford manual trans has had problems. stay wth regular old Mercon 2 for manuals. you are wasting time and $$$ putting synthetic in your manual trans. as it was told to me: "synthetic is too slippery tobe used in T-45's and TR-3650's"

you all can do what you like. Im not trying to sound like a ass but I make more money off your mistakes, I dont like to operate that way but...........

Only the Tremec 3550 and TKO series is designed to use GM synchromesh.

All other Tremec trans (t-5, t-45, t-56, t-3650) must use ATF for the exact reasons you just mentioned.

I know there are guys who will chime in and say they run it with no problems however, but i still recommend against it.

I've heard good things about royal purple ATF in the 3650. I'll be using it my next change
