I have a 70 mustang which was an orig 351 w car, but currently has a 302. 25 years ago, I bought a 4 bl Cleveland and a 351 Windsor thinking I would rebuild and transplant into my resto mod.... Many of the machine shops have closed around here and thinking if I did anything, I would likely buy a crate engine as I cant really justify building it myself...

been there done that.

Any suggestions as to what to ask for these vintage engines.. they are disassembled and the windsors crank has been turned 10/10 and in a bag,, rest of them need full treatment.

Cleveland is a 71 block the Windsor is a 69 4bl.

Thoughts?

Thx!

I think it’s just going to depend on what the resale market is like in your area.
I’ve bought complete engines, ready to run for next to nothing. And I’ve bought bare blocks fresh from the machine shop for considerably more.
