I expect the same with my NOVI 2000 Setup this spring(~11.20's). Awsome in-car video TonyG,it really gives one a feeling of what to expect.

That rate of RPM change is consistant with about a 320RWHP car. You simply did not re cal your speedo. I have a similar vid of my car doing 0-150 in about 5 sec. Nice vid, but BS none the less.

Let's see, 2nd gear reaches ~55 mph at exactly the same time that the rpms reach ~6000. That seems like 4.10 gears to me.

RPMs move too slow? Keep in mid that I started from a dead stop in 2nd gear. Also, notice how the rpms move faster and faster as they approach the redline.

We can do the same analysis in third gear.

A car running 11.3's at ~123 would run about 7.2@92+. 0-100 in 8 seconds is a close enough approximation.

My best was about 7.3 at 97 mph (see timeslip below), but that's with slicks and in 40 degree air. 94-96 mph is typical.

The video was done with street tires. Starting from 2nd like that easily costed a full second from what the car is capable of.

Thanks. Good luck with the Novi set-up. 11.2's would be quite an accomplishment with the stock bottom end. I managed 11.3's with slicks, skinnies, and mineshaft quality Cecil County winter air. I'll be adding longtubes this winter, and try for a new best in the spring.
