Auctions and sales of the Ford Mustang have continued to captivate the best of us, and this time, we’ve found one of the craziest ones we’ve seen in a long time. VIN #1 of the renowned 1969 Shelby GT350 Mustang variety is up for sale for $495,000 USD. That’s just plain silly, if you ask us. Half a million dollars for a Ford Mustang? C’mon, even we aren’t that crazy. This kind of money puts a potential sucker buyer into some amazing supercar territory for purchase. So if one’s truly interested in turning heads, then there might be some other avenues of pursuit…

With just over 51K miles on the clock, this car is in rather good shape for consideration, actually. The interesting part which took us for a few seconds–it’s a right-hand-drive, Australian car. Crazy to think the first 1969 production Shelby Mustang was destined for the land down under. The car carries the Vin# of 9F03M480001, proving it is not something to joke about.

What’ll be most interesting will be to see if this one actually goes for what ‘s being asked. So far, no one’s made a solid bite–yet. We poked around the shop on this one a little bit, and we think we’ll see this one on the Barrett-Jackson block before too long. Until then…

Is it truly a right hand drive ,or was it converted at some time ? Kind of hard to believe the first one would have gone out of the country. Like to see a Marty report on this one ,could be interesting.
