I didn't because they only accept a VIN stamped on the frame .
I've come across quite a few horror stories about US cars being imported into Europe and not complying with the regulations. So far I have had to install side turn signals, converted the 35 watt fog/driving lights to 5 watt parking lights, disabled the orange driving lights and I just ordered the tail lights with amber turn signals from Latemodel Restoration Supply.

Hello did you ever solve the chassis/vin location where it has been stamped onto the car .. I am having similar problems .. I can only find 8 digits stamped onto the drivers side sill !! Any help would be much appreciated thanks
