I Installed a new alternator a few days ago and now when I put the car into the ON position the voltage regulator starts doing an angry buzzing. Does this mean it is bad? or Did I hook something up wrong?

It's the orignial 36 year voltage regulator so maybe time to upgrade to and electronic one from NPD.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
