***VIDEO INSIDE*** ITS ALIVE!!!!! Ok, this is probably the wrong forum but this will cheer up you guys who are doing the LT install.
Was obviously taken at night, so dont mind the fact that you cant see much through most of the vid....its the sound that counts.

Let me know what you think:SNSign: ...I personally felt like I was in the middle of the pits at the race track lol. EDIT: I wonder if it will continue to sound like this after the Dr Gas X? Anyone know if it will keep most of the sound? (for the tech part)

Just don't pick on the wrong LS1's... They can be quite sneaky.

Sounds good congrats on the install. With the Dr. Gas X pipe it will change the sound, but you won't be disappointed. I know we have two engines that are completely different, but I will try to give you an idea. You have open headers so the idle is deep, rumbles, and is loud. With the X-pipe your idle will sound good but not so loud, it's when you get on it that it will really rev up. It will sound better when you are spinning the thing with the X-pipe than with open headers. The open headers can kind of make it sound like a diesel, but boy are they fun.

What are you at now? You should be able to make that easily. I am at 262/294 with PI swap and no tune.

Where are you located blackstallion. You should be able to make it with those mods. The only factor that can come into play is youre elevation. It is a bigger factor than you would think.

I havent run it on a dyno yet because the nearest one to me is like 4 hours or so away in memphis tennessee called Dyno Speed. Im located in the NOrth central part of Arkansas. In a place called Mountain home. Im hoping for 280rwhp and then adding a 100shot. My plan is to add a C+l plenum with an accufab 75mm throttle body with the stage 1 cams then taking it down to dynospeed and having it tuned.

I don't know what your elevation is there, but it can't be high. I think that you can meet your goal of 280rwhp.

THANKS EVERYONE! 98Black, 280 shoulnt be too hard if you have it dyno tuned. I would expect you to hit that, maybe a tad more since you have LTs.
I am personally hoping to hit 300RWHP. Here is the break down.
Car made 274RWHP in 90*+++ heat.
Since the dyno I have added the following:
electric WP
March U/D pulleys (yea both LOL..im hard core )
BBK LTs
canton windage trey

So what you guys think? Ill get a dyno pretty soon after I get it back on the road. It should be VERY close.

Yea, I LOVE the dr gas X...it had one on it with the stock maniflods. I was just wondering if the LTs will preserve the "lope" vs the maniflods. Seems like it should since the gasses/sounds arent combining and tubling over eachother RIGHT off the bat...they stay seperate longer and seems like it will sound better at idle . I hope so anyways. And yea, it didnt sound to good when you racked it off lol, kinda popping and very loud...the X definatly should smooth that out. Ill post up another vid when we weld up the X.

Yeah that X will smooth things out. My idle still sounds deep and lopey. Again though my engine has a lot more displacement which would contribute to the sound a great deal. You will be impressed don't worry, it will really rip up the road.
