Wasted a bunch of time this afternoon

Alright. I decided to check out removing the MAF screen because I was bored. I knew it was hardly a decent mod, but what the hell some people had posted positive feedback...

What a total waste of time. I dont believe anyone who says doing this gained them anything. I'd never really looked at it before, but theres absolutely no way in hell this little mesh screen impedes airflow.

I left the damn thing in, no point removing it at all!

I need to get some cash so I can get back to modding my car again.

I believe it evens out airflow and cuts down on turbulance. Taking it out can make the air "tumble" into the intake more, and the turbulance makes it less effective. Its like trying to breathe with your head sticking out a moving car, its hard. Therefore, leave it in.

BTW: This info was info I picked up about my old 300zx. Not sure if its the same for the Stang, but for the 300zx, thats what we discovered. Waste of time, and dangerous.

i dunno why anyone expects to feel a difference with the screen in or out
same with the silencer

even if it added 5 hp, that's less than 2% increase of HP. You're able to feel 2% increase?!?!?

The screen difusses the air so it flows at a more equal rate throught the entire sensor opening. Basically it attempts to reduce low and high pressure areas. I would recomend leaving it in if you run a cai because having that 90 degree elbow right in front of the maf can throw off the accuracy of the meter.
