Went on a 4 day getaway with the g/f and got a place with a balcony right on Chincoteague Bay Except for the rain driving out Friday evening, the weather was decent as it got warmer each day up through Monday. The Stang got filthy in the rain, but that didn't stop me from taking pics of her in the beautiful scenery Here are a few teaser pics and I will link to the entire album

Nice camera work.
What did you use to take those photos?

Thanks
I have a Canon Rebel XTi with the 17-55mm lens. After being out with the "wild" animals, I see how limited my zoom capabilities are I took nearly 500 pictures during the trip. Quite a bit of experimenting with different settings and s-l-o-w-l-y learning to take better shots

Time to pick up a 55mm-200mm or 75mm-300mm lense. Whatever you get, make sure you get one with IS (Image Stabilization). It really helps on the far distances. They also focus A LOT faster. They're more expensive, but with lenses, you get what you pay for. I paid $199 for my 75-300. It's ok, but it takes a while to focus.

I've kinda been looking into them the past day or so. My g/f has a MF 200mm lens I will be trying out on Sunday. Paying decent money for a good lens is tough right now(I know I will get my moneys worth as I do love taking pics)as I'm trying to save up for the Nebraska trip

Nice pictures Kooldawg..... Did you head out to see the running of the horses? Seems a bit early for it, but Chincoteague is always beautiful. That being said, last time I was there it was something rediculous like 108 degrees outside.

Your car is looking great BTW.... One day I aspire to have a car half a nice as yours, although I'd hate to have another Vista Blue car like yours in VA. It just wouldn't be right.

I could tell it was a Bullitt grille from the chrome border. I love it.
