Or at least I think it is fuel. Mustang is having problems starting now. Has been slowly stumping me for a couple weeks now.
When things are running right: turn key to on position, hear the fuel pump (walbro 255 in tank and vortech t-rex external) for a couple seconds. fuel pressure builds up to about 38-40... car starts fine
First time this happened, stopped to get gas, wouldn't start back up. Car sat for 20 minutes then fired right up. Drove another 100 miles and the car fired up perfectly at least 15 times until next time i stopped to get gas. same thing happened; no start. Car sat for a couple hours then started right up. Since then it has happened twice more and now can't get it to start at all.
Noticed that the fuel pump does not sound as strong now, and fuel pressure only got up to 28-30. started checking wires and found in line fuse between battery and t-rex fuel pump was completely fried. Replaced fuse and now fuel pump is really loud and sounds terrible. Now fuel pressure gets up from about 32-35. Car still won't start.
Any help?
