Weird wear marks on roller rockers

I just popped my rocker covers to try and chase down what I thought might be slightly loose rockers. I had a little play around and it seems like none of them are overly loose. While I was doing that I noticed that I had some unexpected wear patterns in my proform roller rockers. It seems like the rocker is rubbing against the adjustment nuts which I dont think should be happening. Has anyone seen similar wear marks before? Is this a manufacturing fault? I am thinking maybe the castings are off or the bearings are shot somehow.

Normally yes i think there is, not a whole lot but yes. Its almost like the rocker is twisting or something or the castings are out.

Even if the turn and what not, they should not be rubbing there. If it turns, the stud should remain center and not touch. Looks like it could be twisting bad.

You may want to look at your rocker arm geometry. She looks to be a little off and causing the backside of the rocker to sit a little low....where do the tip touch, and travel along the valve stem ? If it's wrong, this can cause an excessive amount of clacking.

Also looks like you have different amount of threads a showing above your adjusting nut. In pic 585 the first one looks to have 2 or 3 showing the last one looks like 4 or 5 showing.

sometimes if your guideplates aren't centered they can wear a bit...........

I checked that when I put together the engine. Let me see if I can find the original photo for you....

no, the guide plate side to side.......they do move a little

I thought maybe it had something to do with them being on twisted wedge heads but I have a suspicion is has more to do with cheap manufacture.

You mean check that the guide plates line up properly with the pushrod holes? OK Will do.

especially on TW heads as the rockers are offset a bit.....
