After much deliberation it was time to move on from my 93GT , I had contemplated doing it last year and now combine the fact the we are most likely moving down south
by mid summer, strong Fox market etc. it made sense.
Got it in 2007 had a lot of fun and learned a lot, it was my favorite ( hobby ) car that I've owned . Latest version was an n/a 393w stroker with PimpXS.
Listed it on Craigslist last night at 10:30pm and watched it go down the street with new owners at 4pm today,
nice husband and wife couple from Vermont.
Plan is to wait a bit and then try to find a clean example of a 03-04 Mach I or " pipedream" 03-04 Cobra.
Selfishly here's some pics I took for the ad.

You really didn't show that off here much, but that is one sweet car. That hood with the stripe that I usually don't like is nice. How come you don't say how much.Oh we should play a guessing game...My bid is $13,500

Close $12,500 cash , which I thought was fair for all involved.

Selling your car after many years of cleaning, and fixing has got to be a little dramatic on that day. I just think"your never getting that back"

Yeah it was somewhat emotional thinking of all the time, money and cursing over the years but I had a lot of fun
with it and it was the right time for me to move on.
I'll get another Mustang , have to it's in my blood, just going to wait a bit until we see where we end up most
likely North Carolina.
I'll still be checking in here to see what trouble you folks are making, a lot of really cool helpful people on this site.
I'm sure I'll be back asking questions and getting advise here when I get my next Mustang.

Can you paint??? If I could paint I wouldn't mind getting a beat up one, and doing it again. I couldn't deal with a car with bad paint

Yeah I actually enjoy painting , on the car I just sold I re-sprayed the lower color and the hood.
Hardest part is finding a place to do it without subjecting your family to toxic fumes.
The plan for my next car is to find most likely a 03-04 Mach I as close to stock as possible, do some tasteful upgrades then just wash in and drive it.

Nice car! It's always bittersweet to see one that you like go away. I will never let my Mustang go, I've had it too long. I've already let one of my sons know that he will inherit it one day.

That's sad, but understandable. Hopefully you are back in one soon.

I've had mine since 1997. Not that I could ever sell it, but if I did it would be a significant emotional experience.

I had a conversation with the Lady about selling my car last night. I almost got hit in the head with a bowl of ice cream.

I made a comment to my wife one day asking her how much she would sell my car for if something happened to me. Her response? "Sell? I'll pay someone to come take that thing out of the garage before you are even cold"

I think she was kidding.

Steel could have put that car on a nationwide sales site, and got $15,000 plus shipping. Good for sale car very clean. I am sure your happy with the quick sale, and the guy who bought it probably crapped himself to find one like that.

Yeah it was a husband and wife from Vermont who had been looking for a Fox for a while. They were in CT. about 1hr. from me
to look at a different car but that guy stood them up so I got a call.
Not sure if I could have gotten 15k for it , it had it's share of mods and some paint imperfections that needed the right buyer.
They were very happy with it , said they have looked for a while but could never find one that was actually rust free like mine, rare in the NE.
Got 4 more calls on it today lol.

Would I keep it if I wasn't planning on moving.....probably not , I was ready to sell.
I think in hindsight I built this car into what the 25yr. old me wanted , a street bruiser that could light the tires in 3 gears.
Problem is I'm 51 now and want something with good power but more cruising with the wife kind of car , if any of that makes sense ..lol

makes sense to me. I’d like to find something bone stock I can take on a cruise with my wife in. Problem is I don’t know what that is just yet.

Yes, my wife rarely will get in my car. I have to make deals. That is the reason that I may sell...To get something for two. Like a porsche
