68 PAINTED AND BUFFED

had a hard time starting, but the time has come... I have a few rust spots to fix, but my paint was 10 years old.. with alot of droped wrenches and motor/tranny & rear end swaps.... time for a change heres what she did look like last night..

this is what im shooting for.. i do all my own body work and paint myself.. so should take me about 2 months for being ready to spray.. ill keep ya updated through the process

Nice looking stang! Where is the rust hiding? Don't see any in those shots.

I personally would lose the Mustang script on the fenders. Seems like too much to have two badges there, one is enough.

IMO lose both the emblem and the script and the antenna while you're at it...Nice looking car BTW. As far as the rocker molding goes....tough call, looks good either way. And im not trying to nit-pick your stuff but it looks like those doors need a little realignment (im sure mine will after 10 years too!)

Yeah, those repop fenders are DOGS...i got two of them on my 67 and i wrestled with them for days trying to get them to line up decent. I'll keep an eye on the local craigslist for ya...there is actually a guy (found out about him like 6 months too late) who is a short drive from me who has tons of 67-68 parts.

I would do away with the emblems and molding. Since you are doing all the bodywork and paint have you check out SPI? Home

They also have SPI red that is on the deck lid of the Fairlane

I would say lose the emblem, keep the rocker molding, and no the CA special trunk.

Judging from the photos I would recommend a rear centering device.

Do yourself a favor and take the fender extensions, glass, and any remaining body parts out. You'll get a much better paint job.

Now ill block the whole car out and if any dings are there it Will show. The black turns more of a dark gray when sanded
