For the first time in my life I got laid off of work. Not from the Magazine of course, but from my day job as a loan coordinator for the Mortgage company. Since interest rates have stayed up, the office that I worked for slowed way down and they had to let me go today. This might be a good thing, now I can go to school. The hard thing is that I just moved into this apartment and I don't know how I am going to pay for it and all my other bills. Since I started working at age 16, I have never been without a job. It is very strange to me. I guess I needed a vacation anyways, haven't really taken one in about four years. I am still in shock!! I will let you guys know what happens....

Later,

Shelby

Wow...must have been something in the air today....

I got let go also.

I was told that "I didnt fit into the direction they are headed"

Thats ok, the direction they are going is not where I wanted to go anyway. Best thing that could have happend to me to be honest.

I was off for two years, and loved it. Take a couple of weeks and enjoy.

What John said seems good...although 2 wks is probably not enough....go to some shows, travel around the state, do things you want to do and most importantly...sleep till NOON!

Makes me count my blessings even if I do hate my overpaid, underworked job. On the plus side, maybe you'll have time to take pics of my car once I paint the hood and get the custom plates in. I'd like to get it in a magazine...... Hint, hint..... Nudge, nudge.....

Sorry to hear that (both of you). Several friends and a family member laid off in the last 18 months, but in every case it has been for the better, even if it's not immediately obvious.

Good advice already been stated, but never hurts to reiterate it... Go do things ya wanna do, sleep in, etc etc and things will work out in the end, they always do.

And the way the weather is right now.....sheesh, at least you'll be able to go out and enjoy it!!

Shelby -

That's unfortunate news indeed. If you ever need help we're all here for you!

Take the next week or so off to relax and gather yourself. Then get right back out there and do your best!

Good luck,

Tyler
