Well good news is I ran my new best of a 13.89@100.8 bad news is I did'nt realize untill I read my live data that I was shifting between 5300-5500. my stock tach IS WAY OFF.. plus more bad news my best 60 ft is 2.13

even more bad news I went 13.903@99.8 with flows and K+N now with 4.10's and sct tune I am running about the same.

the car feels much stronger than it did last year.. now I chirp 4th on the track LOL My powershifting was fine just way to early.

my 7 runs were..

6:05 pm... 13.988@100.86 2.21 60 ft first run of the year bogged down to 1k out of the hole

6:20 pm.... 13.900@100.73 2.13 60ft better launch but spun

7:21 pm.... 13.891@100.82 2.15 60ft

8:17 pm... 14.034@100.12 2.25 60ft I hate imports they drag water on the track all the damm time.

9:14 pm... 14.007@100.61 2.21 60 ft car sideways into second again

9:43 pm... 14.170@100.02 2.26 60 ft.. horrible run, frustration setting in now

10:01pm... 13.99@100.11 2.18 60 ft... hot lapped the car but launched better

I just need to get up to the track more often, my shifting is fine but I need to be a little softer on the clutch at higher rpm leaving the hole.

I am running kumho 245/45r17's at 27 psi. I doubt lowering the presure will help, I don;t do a big burnout, I drive around the water and then do a rooling burnout up to the line to scrub them clean.

please don't even mention DR's or slicks, I don't have any money at all.. I am lucky if I can keep my mustang let alone go buy slicks and draglite's and the 31 spline gear to keep it from blowing up.

yeah thats what I thought. I might try and see if my work will sponsor me, I will put a **** ford sticker on the side of my car for some draglites and slicks, I will come up with the money for axles and 31 spline carrier.

HAHA!!.. seriously, at that power level the 31 splines aren't needed. Your stock rear will hold up. I know mine has seen severe abuse on DR's and it chuggin along fine.

yeah you can get away with the 28 splines. but i have seen stock cars run on dr's or slicks break. many guys have broke on drag radials or slicks anything in the 1.7 area and you are on borrowed time. some gus can run a few years like that others break the first run. I may not have a heavily moded car But I have modded and worked on these cars for years,I have had to fix the carnage before.

On MD you will find many people that broke a axle with similar mods to me.

yeah the slicks might be pushing it, but I honestly think you'll be fine on anything besides ET Street DR's.. those things are just slicks with grooves!!!

yeah I think a nitto drag or a 17 inch bfg will be ok.

I might just buy those

on the bright side I was running simmilar 60fts to other mustangs up there on DR's so I don't think my driving is bad, I think thats just all these tires can handle. track prep is horrible on street nights, the imports and cars that should not run the 1/4 ruin the track

I did 2.0 sixties by droping pressure to 22 in my stock street tires.

Funny...at about your 4th run I was just trying to get my 1st in tonight and blew a heater hose on the line.

I think I could have cut a 2.0 on the first run if I did not screw up and bog it. the track was EXCELLENT then because I was the first car to go on it after a track rental ( the track rental ended just as street night started) track prep went to hell soon after. they do not spary the track for street night.

I get a lot of runs becuase I am usually the first guy there, I show up about 1/2 hour before the gates open and wait outside the track.

Wow, if I go to the line after I finish a run, I wait ~ an hour. ****ing rediculous

Those 60' times are killing ya. Trap is good for a mid 13 run is it not? But you're doing a lot better than me. 14.5@99 with a 2.3 60'

I usually get there early too...last night was the first time I got there so late. I forgot the "kids" are off this week for spring break so alot of ricers were there. I think that is why they shut down the street cars for so long and let the strip cars and bikes make 3 passes...

thanks, I think I can get it down to a 2.0 next time out. I am hoping for a 13.7-13.6 out of this car with current mods.

the track was awsome for the first run but I launched way to low and bogged it. ( there was a track rental, and I was the first run after the track rental was over) the track went to hell afte all the idiots went so by the time my second run came around it was too late to get a good run in.

but what made me feel better is guys running on DR's even one auto with bolt on's on mickey t drag radials was having a hard time getting sub 2.0's so I don't feel to bad.

I need to go on a saturday/sunday or track rental, they prep the track much better then.

I can't wait to see your camaro run on the slicks. you should run 1.5's
