someone smack me,cuz ive had a new fuel filter in my garage since the summer and havnt done it(i think the one on their is the factory issued filter from 94  ) and well the fuel pump i think my be getting a little tired...cant hear it when your in the car driving, but its pretty audible when standing behind the car...and after a cruise one night a bunch of buddies and me stopped in a empty lot to just chill for a few mins and i left the car running and the pump seemed to be acting weird...the pitch of the whine was kind of going up and down a little bit....now i was just wondering, what are some ill effects of these 2 parts needing/possibly needing replacement??

i changed my factory fuel filter this winter :D

The sound changing on the pump really isnt a big deal. It is more then likely just because the idle RPMS are going up and down a tiny bit, so the voltage is going up and down, which means the pump is getting more and less power hence the sound changes.

Id swap it anyways, pumps are cheap, and if you get a 255 you wont ever need another intank pump unless you start making BIGGGG power.
