That looks like the Ash Fouled picture. The last motor I had do that had cooked and cracked oil seals on the valve guides (that were probably also worn.) How many miles are on the motor? Does it smoke when you let off the throttle? How about when starting after parked on a slope?
If instead, it smokes under a heavy foot, check the compression, but that usually leaves an darker oil deposit.
