I’ve been wanting (saving) to upgrade my SOHC short block in my ’96 Cougar to get it ready for boost. But as most I’m trying to do it as inexpensively as possible.

So, I’m tearing around on EBay tonight and I find these….

Anyone ever deal with this company? I mean, it’s not considerably cheaper, but it should still save me about 300.00US compared to the other rod and piston packages there are out there.

I dunno, if I was going to have to trust my engines life to someone, Id prolly spend the extra bucks and go with someone known like CP pistons and Manley rods or someone similar. Do it right the first time...

I agree.
But im a name brand guy myself.I run cp psitons(coated) and eagle rods..

I have heard a few guys running probe pistons but they are new to the 4.6 market(old school they were good).
