I am converting my 65 fastback mustang to a t-5 with the cable setup and would like to know which headers give the clearance for the cable to enter the side of the bellhousing at the the correct point. I currently have tri Ys and have mocked up my installation but there is going to be a clearance issue with keeping the cable off the headers. Please let me know what you cable guys are using. I do not mind getting new headers, I just want to get the correct application..... Thanks in Advance...

Do you require longtubes? what about shorties? I believe geegee has a cable with T-5 in his 66. Might PM him.

I made a bracket that attached to the oil pan and held the cable in closer to the engine. Then the cable curves outward to its hole in the bellhousing. Pretty simple, get up under there and see if something like that would work for you. You only need about a half inch clearance. Thats all the clearance I have anyway, thats been 3 years(50,000+ miles) and a autozone cable, haven't had any problems yet. Good luck
