The MSD Blaster, works great as a replacement when the stock unit goes out. ITs cheap it works great and by far one of the easiest installations I have ever done to my car.

Stock, one of these days (when I get more money) I'll get around to getting a 6AL box, MSD coil, new MSD cap/rotor, and some FRPP 9mm wires. But I need a fuel pump and a dyno tune first.

When I did the plugs, wires, coil, cap & rotor, I put the MSD Blaster TFI in. I noticed more SOTP pull at higher RPM, but the whole package is probably what did it, not any particular component. . .

I actually felt a SOTP improvement over my Accel coil with the Demon coil.

I'm running the mallory. Its a great quality coil, but its larger than the stocker so i had to make an mounting plate out of alum. flat stock.

I had problems with my msd blaster coil going bad and arching.

Stock OEM stuff here, too. It's more capable than most people think.

In other Ford's I have ran the Blaster TFI and it worked great. If I ever have to upgrade, that's probably what it will be.

I did the same deal...the entire ignition kit...its was damn near 300.00 though...Im sure you can get them separate..
I was looking to go the same route, just pcs but PD states the coil is to "hot" for stock wires..you can take that FWIW...could just be hype on their behalf? If I was in the market for a TFI I'd go with theirs...Its beefier and has more dwell.

From what I read, Crane makes all Ford OEM ingition parts so I would say you cant go wrong with them...The OEM stuff is pretty stout and is definately reliable...
PD may be a step up but you pay the price...I looked at Jacobs too...they had some issues...Never read anything but positive about PD stuff...Never had a lick of trouble with mine in 4 yrs...
Heres what you get in the kit...minus the looms, those are extra..

I've got all that Performance Distributors stuff. It was little steep but the quality is top notch. As to whether it made a performance difference, I have no idea.

MSD here!

RIO5.0 - Are those aluminum wire looms you got there? I have some like that but they are chrome plastic. I think I would like those better.
