I don't know what their throughput is but I do know that they have to wait for particular times of day when the satellite is reachable from their locations. The ones that provide them connections 'overlap' but aren't guaranteed from day to day.

Heya all, I'd like to ask a favor:

I've been watching this guy's videos since he started. He's been posting on Fridays but is moving over to Saturdays due to long work schedules, internet availability etc. He can be difficult to communicate with for these same reasons.

So... I'd like to get this dude pushed to 1000 subscribers so he can get a "Community Tab" from the overlords over at boobtoob.

The favor is this: Subscribe to his channel until at least until he gets the tab.

Full Disclosure: I don't know this dude from Adam. Never met him, never heard of him before what was it.... the 15th of March when I came across his channel and binge watched his Antarctica videos.

I'd just like to be able to talk back and forth with him without having to subscribe to 20 different services that I don't want.

I can't see the harm in it. Subscribed. He's now at 603 so all you gotta do @Noobz347 is generate 397 e-mail accounts and YT accounts and you'll have him up and running in no time.
