thing for the A/C I think, It runs along the pass side of the firewall and the long end hooks up to the intake, other end goes into the fender somewhere and I believe something plugs into the bottom of it.

negative. the vent line for the fuel tank is hard and comes out right under the frame rail. Check along my firewall, you'll see it

That looks like the hose that goes on the front left of the upper intake... ...I think it goes to the carbon canister not for sure...this is assuming that is the intake vacuum line I was talking about...but I'm no expert on the vacuum lines...

What he said. It mounts up right by the lines that go through the firewall for the heater.

It deals with the heating and or AC system. I need to get rid of mine since I dont have AC in my car anymore. I'll go with eddie on this and say its for the heater though

If you dont have that thing hooked up to your upper intake, then you probably have a good sized vacum leak on your hands. That could be one of the reasons that your car starts to die on you at stop lights. Unless you plugged that hole.

This is the under side of the upper. It hooks up to the nipple without the arrow.

Yeah, I'm positive now. That goes down to the charcoal canister, which is the vent line for the fuel tank. Mine's disconected too, but I still have A/C.

Thank you so DAMN much!

Damn! No wonder I couldn't find it! That could be pretty hard to get to with the upper still on.

I've been pulling my hair out over this thing!

Yeah, it sucks the vapors out of the fuel tank. But it's basically just a vent.

It pulls that vapors from the charcoal canister under vacum.

I never said that. I just said it mounted near the heater lines.
