Electrical What is this?

It’s on my lower intake manifold on the driver front side. It threads in to the intake. What exactly is it?
Because a red plug went over the top on the threaded portion and that red plug broke off from the rest of the wiring harness. I’m point to the bolt and where the wire broke off

temp sensor for the gauge on the dash not the ECU

Thanks guys, I’ll get around to soldering it later but would I be good to run it for now?

Depends on how many unknowns there are in your car. If there exists a chance that the cooling system is not up to snuff then I would personally prefer to have a gauge to refer to.

A butt splice and some dielectric grease would be a quick temporary fix.
