the new motor will use Motorcraft FL-820-S filters like all my other stangs have. One of the best you can buy, plus I have a few cases of them

Oil-wise, break-in will be with Castrol 5w-30 dino oil, then switching to Mobil 1 after that period

seems like people like the mobil 1 full syn. i have not used it yet but i have use royal purple in my car and didnt really like it all that much.

Mobil 1 may be the best reasonably-priced, readily available full synthetic motor oil out there.

K&N Oil Filters - Oil Filters for Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, ATV's, Boats, and more!

Seems to be high quality and has the anti drainback valve.

Valvoline Full synthetic. Motorcraft filter.

Sometimes use valvoline sythetic blend when I'm poor.

Mobil 1 is NOT a full synthetic! They won a law suit where they can say it's fully synthetic because of how it's processed, but technically it's not.

That is a Great Combo! I use the Ford synthetic blend in my car as well.

Wix makes one of the best filters as well.

Motorcraft filter and Motorcraft 5W-20. Tough to find around these parts for whatever reason...I always end up going to Wal-Mart for the stuff. I hate Wal-Mart.

BTW...I remember seeing the article mentioned above before and since reading that article, I've not bought any FRAM products. Guess there was a reason for them always being the cheapest on the shelves...

Amsoil oil and filter.

I only buy oil once a year. Annual miles are low.

Mobil 1 5W-20 until I put the blower on, now running 5W-30.

I've always used the Motorcraft FL-820S filter. They are good and inexpensive.

Do NOT use Royal Purple oil or FRAM filters!

I use Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 and a Motorcraft filter on mine. I used to buy Napa Gold filters (Wix) but got tired of running around for them.

+1 , FRAM filter came in nere the bottle or mybe last in a filter test , look online its some where out there , I ran R/P/ then read some bad things about it , and was having chatter on start up !

Run Mobil1 5w30 with Motorcraft filter , no chatter !
