Most states have laws, I do not know about you but the darker the better it looks to me. Here you can have the rear and back pass windows pretty much black but you have to be able to see the people in front door windows. The windshield, if thats what you mean by front is a no-no.

Yeah i live in AZ and there is prettymuch no law as to what tint you can have it at, but you can't have more then 6 inches on your front tinted. As for california i beleive the max was around %60, i have mine a %75, and i go to san diego now and then and have never been stopped. For the most part though cops really don't care as long as they can see you from the front.
But i would suggest that you go with between %50-70, because like GT lover says the darker the better.

Yep, check your local laws. Here in Virginia the rear windows can be (I believe) 60%, while the driver and passenger windows can go to 20%. And as 85GTLover said, the windshield is a no-no.

As dark as you want on the back three windows as long as you have side mirrors and 50% max on passenger and driver side windows. Although they rarely pull you over for any kind of tiniting ticket, unless they pull you over for speeding and they are a**holes they may do it.

If you can go 5% all around. Any tint will make the car look better than no tint, but I like the contrast that really dark tint creates.

Are you sure about this? I am not saying you wrong but I think that may not be the case. I cannot say for sure but I thought 5% was the least. But like I said, I could be wrong.

I'm 100% sure...that is my final answer!

5% is the darkest going up to 50 or whatever would be really really lite. I perdsonally like 35% all around...to me that looks sharp!

If 5% is limo than 10% is pretty dark yet the comment some tint looks better than none. So what is correct is the lower % darker or lighter? I want to believe Greenbioch but I am confused. It was his 100% final answer, yet it gets contradicted here. What one is it?

No what they are saying is 5% is darkest...but most like the 20 to 30% look to there car all around. Yes 5% light allowed through 0% you could not see through, I would assume.

5% limo tint, 35% is a bit lighter and looks pretty cool or 20/30%, 50% is too light in my opinion but it looks better than no tint.

sorry....the way i said it may have sounded confusing. it is correct that the lower the % the darker it is. i meant to say that mine was 10%...and you may not want to go that dark, so even if you got 50% then it would be better than no tint at all. does that make more sense?
