This is what the passenger side of my car looks like after I got it stripped. What do you guys think I should do? I am trying to think of the best way to cut all that damage out, but I am not sure where to cut. Any ideas? Also, what is the difference between a full quater panel and just the skin?

What happened to that car?????
Dayuuuuuuummmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would go with a new Quarter. Not really sure what skins means. I would assum just thge outer, then requiring welding.
I'm sure someone will correct me though.

Skins refer to thinks such as the outer parts of doors, or any thing with an inside and outside piece. Quarters do not have skins. You can buy an entire quarter and just cut the piece you need so you wont need to mess with the quarter pillar.

A skin for the quarter has to be welded butt to butt. They don't go all the way to the factory spot welds. I have done it and it is a pain, lots of warping and tons of body work. Pay the extra money for the whole thing. You will especially want it because of where alot of your dents are, that is some of the places where you have to weld. Welding straight metal to dented metal...no fun!!

WTF happened to your car....was the whole thing bondo coated to look smooth before you stripped it? Was it in an accident where a snow plow was drug down the side and they fixed it with a sledge hammer?

I think it was a mob boss getaway car. Perhaps it was used as a decoy vehicle in afghanistan. maybe he stripped it down, and someone at the shop caught their reflection ad was upset.
LOL

J/K , but I also would like to know......

Ok, looks like I have a lot of questions to answer here. First off, I appolige for the picture size; didn't plan on it being as big as it was. As for what happend to the car, I have no idea. As dodgestang thought, the whole thing was filled with bondo to make it smooth. There was so much bondo on there, that I took most of it out with a hammer and chissle. As it stands right now, I basically need a whole new passenger side(quater panle, door, fender). This isn't the only body work on the car either, so it looks like this will take a little longer then I pland. I am not really sure what I want to do to take care of this. Honeslty, I can pull the quater out some more on a 10ton frame rack, then just load her up with bondo. The problem with that though is that at this point I want to get the car finished so I can sell it and buy a 99 Cobra, so I don't think it is morally correct of me to just load her up and sell her like that. BTW, the damage isn't as bad as you all think it is. Because the car is bare metal, it is going to look more wavey then it really is. I'll post more pics up (smaller of course ) once I get her primered tomorrow. Were would I seperate the qauter panel from the sail panel? There is more damage up there that I have to deal with. I will post pics of it tomorrow as well.
