It's not in your owners manual . Assuming your tires are stock size, look for a sticker in your door jam that describes proper tire inflation. My 01 gt is 30lbs all around.

The tire place said mines supposed to be 35 and I think thats almost 10 PSI lower than what the tire says. I'd just call wherever you bought your tires.

The tire only states the MAX tire pressure.

Never fill it to the MAX

EVery vehicle is different, a 1800 pound car is going to use a lower pressure than a heavy 4000 pound sedan. The tire needs to have a certain shape to it to work and different weight vehicles need different pressures to maintain this.

On most cars, it's written on the door jamb somewhere. I beleive for cars in the same weight range as the Mustang, it's 35psi.

I think the pressure is also written inside the fuel door.

35 is too much for me. I was always taught a default air pressure setting for cars is 32. But even this seems a bit rough for me, and 29 felt a bit soft and sloppy, so I've settled in at 31.
I wondered how these NASCAR drivers could tell a one pound difference in their tires, but you really can, if you get used to what your car feels like.
NEVER inflate to the sidewall # - read carefully, this is the maximum pressure. A violent blowout could occur.

It's relative to the car. Mine is 30 psi according to the sticker in the door jamb. I usually stay around 28-29 psi and it rides a little smother. I was wearing the center of the tire running too much air.

This brings up a good point. You've really got to monitor your air pressure and tire wear on a regular basis. This is one of the easiest things to do, but is ignored by so many. Tires ain't cheap!

On my '02, the recommended tire pressures are on the inside of the fuel door.

When adding air, remember to consider if the tires are warmed up or cold. The heat will increase tire pressure. 32psi cold can easily go to 35 when heated up.
