What's the deal with the chips/programmers??? There is the diablo delta chip, the diablo predator flash tuner, superchips max microtuner, and the hypertech power programmer. Which one is REALLY good , and which one isn't ? Stangnet reviews say the hypertech programmer is near perfect but only 10 people have posted....the diablo is rated like 7.45 or something. Does the hypertech give as much power increase than the diablo delta chip? Oh the options, any input is appreciated.

A dyno tune is the way to go, but since I didn't have a dyno handy, I went with the hypertech. It has a noticeable difference in power, but I got it for the speedo calibration, and thought I might be able to pick up a couple extra ponies. As far as the lean situation, I didn't have that problem at the dyno, it was pretty much right where it should be.

I got the Superchip Microtuner and love it. Felt like I got a little gain out of it, but the best part about it is the shift points and shift pressure. Makes the auto trannys a hell of a lot better.

programmers are more if u want to mess around with different settings yourself, whereas chip is just either one, two, or even three programs. dyno tune is prob. best, but in this area, there is no one doing them right now. i got sct chip from modular depot, & love it. for 300, was able to bump timing up, permanently delete ses light, adjust speedo for gears, & make a little more power, etc. depends on what setup you are running & what u are looking to do with the car. love mine. u can pm him if u are interested in asking some questions, he's a nice guy. KenB on stangnet or www.modulardepot.com
