Where is the engine ground strap located???

Where is this located? and what would happen if it not hooked up right? where on the block should it be bolted too?

its on the drivers side near the oil filter.

Bolts to the timing cover I believe, on the drivers side of it, the bolt going through the side of the cover.

mine went bad, looked perfect from the outside. I thought I had a starter problem, but after I changed it I realized that it was the reason for starter, faulty gages, and my stereo freaking out.

Where is the engine ground strap located???
