you'll have to buy it direct from k/b. unless you buy it from a shop that's installing it. That's what I was told from modular powerhouse(t&j) and k/b

its gonna cost u $$$. I know someone who got it installed there, was there 1st KB, took them 20hours...$100/hour , you do the maths. I'm sure it's faster now but still...he also has a saleen.
u might wanna consider driving down to south cal where labor is cheaper..my 0.02

Not sure why they told you this... I bought mine from Don at Modular Madness in NC and he never mentioned it. I had to have the KB shipped to NC then back to me in CA. But KB is so slowwwww right now. It took 4 weeks for them to ship the unit. So beware!!!

Yeah..that's me... but my car had the eaton blower so it's more work than a straight install following the KB instructions. Apex is the best installer/tunner shop for mustangs in the bay area. And I was the 1st KB install, since they've been putting KBs on 03 cobras and other GTs...
Another shop in Milpitas did a KB install for $1200 from N/A engine, but no dyno checking like Apex would do.

Nope, I don't have time for shows and cruises right now. Maybe in a couple of more years. Thanks anyhow.

hey so how did it turn out for you? did they do a good install? we are basically in the same boat here both have saleen's both needed to take of the stock blower. and if you dont mind me asking how long did it take them and how much? like how long was your car at the shop? also did they order the KB or did u have to and bring it there once you got it at your house? thanks

He violated thier contract doing that.A shop is not to under any circumstances sell a KB unit unless THEY install it..
I have a strong relationship with KB and dont violate thier wishes.

Then you might want to check with them again, because SHM also shows it on their website, and nowhere does it say they must install.

Tim,
I have a strong relationship also , but I fly out and support & and tune also.
Maybe I will fly out and install this unit when I tune it at a local dyno day ...think you kinda jumped the gun here.
And yes you are correct KB will not dropship , But we are also willing to go anywhere needed to support and tune.

Nothing personal Tim but that is illegal and no contract would state that... At least I would never sign a contract that stated that. I think you are referring to a letter KB sent out requesting dealers to stay in their area if at all possible. Well, the only dealer in my area is KB about 400 miles away. So to avoid the hefty CA Tax, I went to Modular Madness. Sounds like you have your area secured anyhow...

Just telling you what they told me.Thats why I dont drop ship. They get pissed when they find out........
Btw its not illegal..Any company can restrict you to sales area...They can also pull a distributorship if you violate thier rules.
I could really careless if Don does it or not.Its none of my business. What I dont like is someone saying im wrong about the drop shipping.

I didnt jump the gun on anything.I just stated you cannot drop ship under any circumstance..
Thats all I said...
I know they specifically told me I cannot ship a kit out of my shop...I'm willing to cover any tune as well and support what we sell. They told me no..If its sold,it has to be installed at our shop..
If you can ship them,I dont see why i cant?
