i am looking to buy a better intake manifold and i am thinking about t trick flow. i was wondering which one from trick flow i should order????

TFS street intake(idle to 5500RPM), track heat (1500 to 6500RPM), or the R-series intakes (2500 to 7500RPM).

thank you for your time

I'd get the track heat even if your car is stock. It will work better with higher flowing mods in the future. And should still run great on a stock car.

It really depends what your plans are for the car

I look the TFS and Edel line of intakes for NA kinda like this

longest runners for a bolt on combo 250--275 rwhp

mid length runners for h/c/i combo 275-325 rwhp

shortest runners for race only

my car is stock other than flomaster mufflers(bought the car with them on it).
my plans for the car is to have it run in the 12's for now, possibly maybe even the the 11's later on down the road. so whats your opinion??

IF you have certain plans and expectations of what you want out of your car then you need to decide what parts you will be adding... heads and cam, supercharger, nitrous and that sort of thing, then and only then decide on your intake manifold. But you cant go wrong with a performer rpm II

Well I'd say it depends. Depending how long your buildup will be... I'd go street heat. It's only 200 bucks for a track heat upper to swap on there. The stock heads are gonna kill ya past 5000 RPMs anyway. If its gonna take two years to get to a full HCI then I'd do street heat now, and sell it when you're ready to upgrade.

If you go track heat, make sure you get rear end gearing along with it.

So you can just buy the upper Track heat intake and swap it for the street? So the lower is the same on both???

Uh... interesting plan. People need a parts list or general idea of HOW you plan to run those numbers.

For instance. I'm having a 331 built with the TrickFlow Track Heat kit (heads, stage two cam, etc.) I also plan to spray the car a little as well.

Maybe you can sneek anything out on the street I guess

But ... for the typical NA street/strip 302/306, the low end is gonna
be pretty doggy poo poo with the shortest runner intake in
either Edel or TFS product lines

That intake could be OK with forced or more cubes for sure

But Yeah ... there is always the exception for most things
and
You have a valid point ... if going to the extreme

I was just trying to give some kinda rule of thumb
for
most combos you see here on this site

I ran the TFS R and your right it is a little doggy poo poo down low but it really opens up on top....And really liked the Nitrous....Now with 347s I think it would go good....And with SP but thats not to say that there are 100 peeps on this board with 347's and another 100 with superchargers all street.... but I know what you mean.... and I get the example
