I am going to get a catted x-pipe for my car and don't know which to get. I think I have narrowed it down to either the Bassani or Magnaflow. What do you guys think?

Magnaflow has treated me well. I've heard people having problems with their cats on Bassani X pipes, that might be old news by now though.

Magnaflow.

A word of warning: Many people have had problems getting a good seal on the driver's side manifold when installing an aftermarket midpipe because of this stupid "shoulder" Ford put on the manifold studs. While you're swapping the midpipe, I would put some new studs in (from NAPA, can't remember the part number, something like 600-1819) so you don't have to go back in and do it all over again.

fit was great and went in easy. Took a little over an hour to install. Hardest part was getting the damn passenger side nuts off.

STAY AWAY FROM BASSANI!!!

I would go with magnaflow or SLP, both are quality pipes. Bassani is TERRIBLE, cats will burn out fast!

magnaflow's quality is very good.

honestly though you don't need it yet.

bump the timing and get gears before the mid-pipe.

I have 4.10s, but no timing adjustment. Would it be worth it for me to get a catted magnaflow x-pipe now?

my opinion is no.

here's a link to consider
http://www.alternativeauto.com/techtips/techtips_46.html

an x-pipe now will cause you to rev more freely in other words a loss of torque
