white smoke from valve cover

When my friend pulls the oil filler cap off his valve cover, white smoke comes out. Its not a huge amount, but its still there. Its a 95 5.0 that has new rings. Any ideas?

I had that happen on an old pos honda I had. It had a lot of blow by and needed a ring job bad. Maby the rings havent seated properly?

are u positive its coming from inside? i know WD40 and other lubes turn to white smoke when burned...for example, on the header.

My 89gt done that too, but the motor was pretty worn and needed a rebuild prolly one of the reasons the crank broke in two.

I was hoping it wasen't blow by. Either we give it some more time to seat the new rings [motor only had 60,000miles] or else its time to pull the motor and hone it, then replace the rings again.
