Hey guys,
I just registered today. I have found in the past that forums are a pretty good place to get some information.
I'm normally on Oldsmobile Racing Forums and Jeep foums.

Here's the situation. My wife's '95 GT/5.0/5-sp/Convert has ran flawlessly now for 3 years since we've owned it.
We drove it yesterday with no problems.
Got in it this morning and there's a vibration/shake that is there at start up and seems to increase with RPM.
I know what I am afraid that it is, but I want to hear some opinions before I start ripping things apart.
It pretty much has to be engine related. It does it in gear or out of gear.
I have oil pressure.
I haven't had time to check for vacuum leaks or lose pug wires yet.
There's no knocking.

The shake at idle is bad enough to shake the whole car.

Let me hear your opinions. I know the obvious one.

Harmonic balancer sounds shot don't drive it until it's replaced (if it is that). Don't replace it with a stock replacement they don't last. Get a good aftermarket one obvoisly(sp?) you don't need a racing high priced one. I got this one http://mustang.c-f-m.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=353 it's a good price and quality is great. You NEED the 4 bolt spacer (pictured under the balancer) it won't work without it, also you need the 50oz. Good luck.

definitely sounds like the balancer. get under the front of the car and look for rubber hanging out of the back of it.

I wondered about the ballancer, but figured it would have chucked the serpentine belt when it died.
It has just under 100,000 miles.
I'll check the balancer tonight.
Thanks
