I have been spraying 75hp with the ZEX '05 Mustang Kit for the past few months with no problems. The TQ is awesome, it is amazing what a little nitrous can do. I just got my 4.30 gears installed, so I will finally be heading out to the track soon. I will post with the results......

The ZEX kit for the 2005 Mustang is a WET kit. It has the standard ZEX Nitrous Management Unit, nozzle, etc., but where it differs from a standard ZEX kit is that it includes a special Ford Fuel Rail Adaptor and powerpoint arming switch. There is no schrader valve on the new '05s, so you need this special fuel rail fitting to tap into the fuel system on the car. Standard nitrous kits have no way of tapping into Ford's new fuel system. The whole car is hard plastic fuel line and thin sheet metal fuel rails. The powerpoint arming switch is pretty cool. It simply plugs into the powerpoint in the armrest and has an LED rocker switch in the end of it. Just plug it in and run the hot wire to the engine bay to power the NMU. The kit is adjustable from 75-175hp and it was very simple to install.

nice niner, i'd like to check that out...if you wanna post pics you need a host site.
either from a website or something like photobucket.com

if you click on properties...then copy

you post those properties between between image tags

like these...(not sure if it shows it or not
bracket,img,close bracket

between those img tags you post (paste) the "properties" of the image

the properties will have the name of the pic and website it is on...you can't just load up a file from your harddrive

sorry to double post, but while on the topic, why can't you run a dry kit on the '05?

seesm like it'd be ez enuff

you have a mass air unit right?

and fpr ?

should be no prob's...i know wet kits are more consistent, but for the smaller 50-100 shots...i think dry kits are perfect.

thats all i use...and i like the easiness of the install, and i don't like to squirt fuel into the intake

Looking at the stuff listed in the thread starter's sig, I'm assuming this guy is more interested in '05 + cars that run lots of spray -- more than the 75 to 150 horsepower kits being discussed; I could be wrong.

Actually, I'm pretty interested to know who's running more than 150 horsepower's worth of nitrous oxide (built bottom end or not) and what kind of e.t.'s are being had.

considering this thread is also over a year old, i think the thread starter either found the answer, or gave up.

Much like my thread about the same time! Although, it may have been on an entirely different message board. It would be funny if the original thread starter posted up still wanting an answer.

I guess I'll take over for him in this thread. I'm still interested in seeing some "big nitrous" applications for the current Mustang. I've read alot about people's results with supercharged '05+ models, have driven a twin-turbo '06 GT, but have yet to hear much about nitrous oxide applications (beyond ZEX kit install articles in magazines). I do know that there are charge motion delete plates pre-drilled for direct port nitrous oxide.
