Why are the seats in my car bit different??

Hey

When I purchased my 03GT in the fall I noticed that the seat in it where a bit different from other older GT's. The headrest in my car is like the Cobra headrest. I also noticed that the car has Bullitt pedals and has some fake brushed aluminum accents on the shift boot and door look things .

Is that an options package or something?

I thought Ford did this to GTs in 03 for safety reasons as the older ones don't seem to give great support to the neck if you get rear ended.

Today I saw a guy the just purchased a 04 and it had the other low headrest.

can you get pics? it's normal for previous owners to mod mustangs and not say anything about it

Another thing to worry about is why some things were replaced, could be due to an accident or so..

Its an interior upgrade pakage mine has it too.

Interior upgrade package. You get Cobra headrests, shifter trim, silver door locks, Bullitt pedals, and I think something else.

That's the interior upgrade package. It was a ~ $350 option from Ford on 2003 and 2004 Mustang GT's and V6's

It features:
Bullitt pedals
silver center console trim with billet shifter trim ring
4way adjustable headrests
silver door posts


My car didn't come with the package unfortunately. I had to track down all the peices separately and put them in. I just need the headrests and they are something like $200/each from Ford!!

yah, the small headrests are useless...
