Its all good we got a ranch about 130 miles from there so we're around water more than most Midlanders We take I-30 from we're your at to New Boston and then Hwy 8 north about 50-90 miles. I really need to get another web site set up so I can post pics of it, I got some of me crossing these small rivers in the ole Tahoe I think there is a site some where on the net because the ranch is where, "The End of The Trail of Tears cemetary is located at. That is where they stoped marching Indians down to Oklahoma. Its got a Indian name on the site but I can't spell it lol

There is more to cars than just going straight....

having said that, i would buy a Ford GT in a heart beat if I could afford it.

If you guys even get a chance to open track your stangs, DO, its is fun as hell.

That is why I dump most of my money on suspension parts to have fun in the twisties... sure the stang isn't the best platform to start with for that, but it can hold its own. It funny seing a MM'd stang running open track and passing Ferrari's and Porche's

Twisties is a RUSH and a SVT would be a really good platform to start out with to me. As for beating the Ferrais/Porschas...Road&Tracks mag 1983 October issuse has it that the SVO out performed the Ferrari 306 and Porscha 944. This is a tradition for Mustang to trash Forgin cars

Not everyone cares about speed. For instance, my wife decided to purchase a Honda, obviously NOT about speed, for its reliability and her comfort. I dare say that a $250k car would be a tad bit more reliable (at least it should be...) than our ~$30k cars. Also, those that do purchase extremely expensive cars can obviously afford it, and since they are able to afford it, why not purchase this when everything else they see is much easier to get ahold of? By this I mean, they have so much extra money that this is almost a 'nervous' buy (spending a greater percentage of their money, making them nervous) and what else would they spend it on? I'm sure that with a $250k car, they have $5mill dollar houses, yachts, businesses, etc, etc, etc, and they do not have anything else to blow it on.

I know if I were that rich, I'd buy a $250k car in a heartbeat, regardless of whether it was 'foreign' or not. Believe it or not, but foreign car makers have had the US carmaker's balls in their back pocket for almost 2 decades now, when it comes to reliability and quality. We just recently cleared the European car makers, but lag waaaaay behind Japanese car makers...

Sad but true We've slowly started loosing ground to them in the early 80's and hasn't stopped yet. Then this sport compact seen which the Big Three has just sat back with there thumb up there $$$ watching it go by.
