Why does my car constantly spam me?

I go to fill her up, and I get spammed by the gas cap. Anyone every wondered how much BP paid Ford to put their advertisement and name on the gas cap?

Yeah, its unreal.

I HATE the Gas CAP.

It is so gay and cheap.

should have got an 05

i dont know how much they paid ford, but it really drives me nuts. it is one thing to recommend a station in the owners manual and another to put in in a highly visible location.

can you take a razor blade and scrape it off? if it were on my car, i would try that or some laquer thinner.

Last summer I rented an '06 Ford 500 and it had the BP cap in it as well

Just get a locking cap like I did and be done with it. I have a couple more caps if anyone is interested here......

I also have wondered what that ad cost on the gas cap. Especially since BP stations are few and far between here in Richmond. Granted, Bp is affiliated with/owned by a few other major companies, but it's still an odd ad. It doesn't bother me, I still fill up at the cheapest place in town with good results.

It all depends on your area/region according to Ford.

Got one on my 07 delivered here in NC too. I think a piece of black electrical tape might just do the trick to cover it.

Mine was supposed to be delievered to California, to Saleen. Maybe that's why it has the BP gas cap.
