I found an Autometer gauge cluster for 99-01 Mustangs. Can I adapt these to fit my 94?

How different are the electronics and is there a way to adapt them to the 94-95 cars?

They can be made to work, my parents have one in there 95. As for how it's done, I have no clue.

Also, the lights across the bottom of the cluster are in different locations on the newer models.

I'd like to know too... the only stock gauges I'm using are Speedo and Voltmeter.... Makes more sense to replace the cluster with autometers than add 50 autometers around the cab
