White Mustang GT Stock 302 Block
-World Roush 200 Heads
-Crane Cams 1.7 roller rockers and springs.
-FRPP Z303 Cam,
-Edelbrock air Gap RPM Dual Plane Intake Manifold,
-Holley 750 cfm Carburator,
-FRPP King Cobra Clutch,
-Under Drive Pulleys,
-No Smog Pump or emmision crap.

How much power do I have?
Can I beat a rice burner? (ex. subarus, srt-4, S2000, prelube, integra, evolution 8, etc.)

It might sound like a dumb question but I saw a mustang (It had most upgrades, more than me) get beat by civic (Turbo)

The s2000 will get ya top end imo but off the line bye bye.

I want to know how you dont have any valve clearance issues, since you are using a stock short block. 2.02 intake valves a .552 lift cam and 1.7 RR's thats almost .600 lift..

Wondering the same myself.

I can't say anything because about who would win because I don't know what your car runs or dyno's as well as other mods. The STI, Evo, SRT-4, and S2K all can be in the 13 second zone, and the integra and prelube are between the high 14's and low 16's in the quarter.

The Evo will take you, i can beat a s2000 and you are quicker than me for sure so no problem there. Forget those integras and prelude's those are childs play. You might be able to hang with the SRT4 just dont race a long way, he'll catch up

Yeah those aren't really that fast, unless you dump lots of cake into them.

I'm all stock (except for some minor adjustments seen in my sig) and I have raced an SRT-4.

I had him at a dead start, low speed roll. A 35 MPH roll let him see victory though - could've just been differences in gearing.

Anyway, you should smoke one.

Remember that although the SRT-4 has 225 (correct?) HP, it has nowhere near the torque a 5.0 is going to have and it never will.

Depends on the yr...and the mods.

I have a friend with an Integra, I forget the model but it was the 170+ HP stock engine. He put a turbo on it, a lot of other mods, and he smoked me, no problem. Granted, I am mostly stock, but he had a hell of a lead.

I understood that they were 14.8sec cars, a stock 5.0 should run beside them

Isn't the srt-4 a low 14, possibly 13 second car?

I could be wrong but I thought that I heard a TV show saying that they are 14.8 cars.

Not sure on the stats...I remember Car and Driver TV episode had an SRT-4 when it came out, said it had potential for great times but had serious traction issues, being fwd.

Either way...I wish I wasn't having to be so cautious with my license after losing it...or I would try racing this guy at my college...flies by in an SRT-4 every day and I can do nothing because I want to keep driving (and my gf doesn't want to drive me around for 6 mo. again).

Anyone else had any encounters with an SRT-4? If so, what were the results?

Well if you trap over 103mph(you should), you will beat the S2000, SRT-4, WRX not the Sti, prelude of course, integra of course, EVO 8.. nope.

Of course this is all stock numbers.. so if modded anything goes.

I guess you don't understand turbos, v8's don't win them all.

if you don't beat a new prelude, that is funny stuff. i beat my friends with the sport shift tranny and magnaflow muffler with my stock 91 HO aod'd tbird twice and by a couple of car lengths too. i had 2 50 series flows. of the tbirds didn't like to spin the tires in on dry pavement, it had trac lock too. we called it, "THE PINK PANTHER". somebody painted it dark pink.
