I was thinking of getting the info or pics of a like car of mine when i was a cop car, and make it look like it again? As far as the decals and light bar (fake) goes, will this be against the law to do? Would it be considered inpersonation of a police officer? peace

I think it would be cool, but I think the light bar and the decals are illegal to drive with. I talked to a guy at the Mustang Roundup last summer who had a car a lot like yours that was a cop car and he said he had some magnetic decals made so that he could put them on for shows, but take them off and drive home. I think he also had a light bar, but he had to put a cover over it while he drove around. I'll see if I can find some pics and send em your way if you're interested.

The above is exactly correct. The gentleman in question has an extensive collection of Service Vehicles and told me a few stories about his and other people's experiences driving their SSP Mustangs and dealing with law enforcement. Bear in mind that "impersonating a police officer" doesn't get you a ticket, it gets you a felony with jail time.

just fyi.... there is a place up here in the Eastridge buisness complex [sr503 (117th) and 95th in Vancouver] that makes banners and signs and stuff... they might do magnetics too. I would go over and ask for ya, but I work nights, and their closed.

No offense, but I have met you and you could be driving a "real" cop car and nobody would mistake you for an officer! So I think you could pull it off!

Was this towards me? DD what is the place called or if ya could hook me up with a number? 2004 yes after it's all bolted back in we are going to fire it up to get the real affect of the cam and the L/T's! :nice: Go check out my other thread and look at the progress in it! peace

I saw a documentary on mustangs with a special segment for ssp's. At the carshows it was okay to have bogus police/hwy patrol logos. So long as you weren't driving on the streets. But when you do drive it on the streets you'd have to take it off. The logos typically have magnetic backsides so you can slap'em on and take'em off. The lightbar though i'm not sure about. Prob as long as it's not blue or red.

"Sign-a-rama" according to the lettering on the door, no phone number though, you could try 411. They just opened like a week ago, so it would be a new listing. They have pics of those big murals on the side of semi trailers, in the window... now I always thought those were painted on, but if they are "signs" then they would have to be magnetic ones (I would think).

Its not much, but hope it helps...

John,

Check your other post with the pics of your car work going on. I have a hood I mentioned there you might be interested in. If your smooting the engine bay ya might be getting a little fancy for a "cop look-a-like". BTW, that's some body guard you have looking out for you on Stangnet. I need to get one like her!!!
