You're gonna need more fuel, alot more fuel - and a stronger clutch than a SPEC stg2.

Agreed.....60lb'ers at least, custom fuel rails and a big time fuel pump(s) upgrade for starters.

Not true. I have a friend with a 700hp 04' Cobra with 31 splines with no problems at all. 31 would be more than enough for this set up. But 600whp will require a LOT more boost than a non-I/C S/C setup could provide. Spend some more money and get a twin-screw KB with an intercooler and run about 15-17psi and you will be there. You could go with an alcohol kit and bump up the boost with the NOVI, but NOTHING will put you in your seat and have instant power like a positive displacement blower. KB is the way to go if you want 600whp.

didn't see you put axles already. don't forget you'll need a new differential to match the new axles.

Missing the Cobra tank with dual 255lph fuel pumps, minimum 60# injectors, total custom fuel system. Bigger MAF, High volume oil pump with billet gears, new transmission, TKO500 or TKO 600 or a T56. You will be spending upwards of 15-20K large. Trust me. And you wont be driving it on the steet. It will be sitting in your garage broken down every week. 650rwhp is a ridiculous number to set as a goal for a street car. Unless you like spending every waking minute turning wrenches on your car stick with 450 and be happy. If you can't do the work yourself don't even think about 650 unless you have an endless supply of green.

no i didnt, and the novi 2000 can boost up to 29 lbs, it is good for 980hp.

so there is no safe, low maintinance way to make 650hp?

my stock internals wont handle 450 hp, and i kno once i get 400, im going to want more. the reason i wanted a new short block is because it is less work than swapping the internals, less for me to screw up on, and if something happens to it, i have the stock block to fall back on.

Safe? Sure there is, you'll need a tune by a very reputable shop. Detonation is the #1 killer of blown engines. Low maintenance? Anything heavily modified is gonna require extra maintenance.

is brothers performance in riverside ca a good place to get tuned? i live in southern californa, so if anyone knows any place thats reputable around here, please share. how much maintinance is extra? i dont mind doing valve maintinance or what ever. this car is only going to be driven MAYBE 3 or 4 times a month. mostly track, and some friday nights. what would you guys suggest for around 600 rwhp?

You dont sound like you know a whole lot about what this involves. I suggest you READ READ READ READ everything you can get your hands on about supercharging these motors. Go hang out on modularpowerhouse.com and see what it takes.

BTW you should be able to make 600RWHP without an intercooler/meth with a novi 2000, but not on pump gas. Need some 114 octain in that baby . (not a good idea BTW WAY too much heat)

yea man im going with the novi one day myself i think. im shooting for around 450 rwhp. that is a super fast street car that i hopefully can run on street gas. should be able to pull it with the intercooler. im of course going to build the block and do some additional upgrades.

i think anything over 500rwhp is going to be a pita. stuff will break and you probably wont be able to run it on street gass. its a bit too much for a street car.

600 hp? forget it that is a strip car only.

ok, so maybe the 600 hp mark is out of my league for now.

minus the block, is that a good combo for a street car? how safe is 400rwhp on an otherwise stock motor? i have read many many forums about people making 400 hp, i kno its all in the tune, so how good is the tune that comes with the novi kit from MPH? my idea was run that until i can get on a dyno and have it tuned(1 month tops) and like i said, not very often, and when run, do it very easy. sound like a plan?
