If you just need something safer, you can get a universal battery hold down kit from any of the parts stores with either a rubberized metal bracket or a rubber strap and two j-bolts with wing nuts for less than $10. You'll need to cut one of the J-bolts shorter, but it works well in a II. If it quits raining here in Texas tomorrow, I'll post some pics of mine.
