WTF ?????

ok i bought what i thought was a POS lincoln mark 8 and was gonna yank the motor and trans and use it in my mustang .....well i still am but it got better .......... at least i think it did.....
now correct me if i am wrong but these things didnt come with a 4V ...did they?

and if they didnt why does this one i bought for $200 have one it!!!!?

they came with 4v's man, i guess its a nice surprise since you really didnt know lol

i should convince myself that my gt has 6 cylinders only to find it has 8

Yup, a 4v, but it didn't make quite as much power as the NA 4v cobras. It had a sightly more restrictive 2 plane intake manifold with butterful valves that would open a 2nd set of runners at a given rpm... IIRC.

What you're referring to are the IMRC plates, probably similar to what the 96-98 Cobra had.

If I'm not mistaken, it's a Teksid block and also has the same B heads as the 96-98 Cobra, though it's likely not a forged rotating assembly. If you didn't plan on going to a 4V setup, you could easily sell the block alone for probably 4 times what you paid for the car.
