I would be misrepresenting the truth if I said that that Aussie engine sounds anything like mine will. Much the same as a Coyote is the evolution of the OHV Windsor, The engine in that 65 Mustang is the equivalent future version of mine. A "Turbo Barra" only share displacement with me. Everything else is vastly superior. The head is a DOHC head, the bottom end is 6 bolted, the internals are forged, and the engine can service a very high redline.

That's what it takes to see 1300HP out of 6 holes.

I'll be happy with a 3rd of that.

My combo will sound much more like this:

I have my next project figured out.:p

I was literally laughing out loud at that vid,...this crazy ass Swede with nothing better to do hopping up his tractor with a snail, then going out and just gettin' stupid with it on Old Mac Svenson's farm.

Sing it with me...you know the words....

Old Mac Svenson had a farm E I E I O,..
And on his farm, he had a crazy-rat bastard for a son, E I E I O...
And he did a burn out here, a burn out there, here a cookie, there a cookie, everywhere he booked a cookie.......

Man, I just knew that tractor was gonna roll over any second. Just knew it. Crazy asses.

Please!!......On what cold day in hell do you think I'd ever resort to a windsor after going this far off the deep end to avoid it?
Whether or not this engine is reliable has yet to be seen, but I'll take my glued together banger as opposed to having one more of the same to add to the rows and rows of 5.7 liter windsors w/ turbos already there at any given car show, on any given Sunday, in any given city.

How many times do I have to say it. I'd have just about ANY other engine before I'd have another windsor.
Cleveland, 385, Fe, LS.....

Wow,....Did I respond out loud to what you just typed out loud?

Here is another way to get that much power out of 6 holes... Just a back up suggestion, since youre just too jealous of all the Windsor guys to go that route.

Good afternoon gentlemen,..It's time for your mid day restart update.

Whether or not you are aware, I'm gonna attempt a restart w/ Steve looking over my shoulder at about 5PM today.

I had to get the water pump tied into the cooling fan circuit, and add a restrictor in the heater hose return to try and see if the damn thing will build heat, and stay at temp. Last time, everytime I turned on the WP the temp plummeted. So we'll just have to see today.

I also replumbed the new tank (remember, I decided to get rid of the old tank because the dropped sump seemed like it might be a candidate for scraping in certain steep driveway entrances.

So this is what it looks like now:

It's after 5.. :)
Gonna need a running video again

It's after 5 in the time zone you live in raggedy. There are 4 time zone in the continental US, each one an hour different from the one before or after it.....

It's only 4:36 in the one I live in.

Sorry Mike, I get impatient , and.. I forgot you where in Alabama :)
Good luck to you and @a91what .
I will sit quietly and await an update video

Well I'm sorry to say I failed Mike today... after much time spent updating the software/firmware we got the car to talk. We made the necessary changes in the tune to account for his turbo application and got all the rev limiters and mat corrections setup.. blah blah blah.....

We were unable to get the car to fire after the updates I believe it has something to do with the ignition settings as his car has a EDIS 6 system. As much as I know there is still much to learn.

:notnice:

After looking back at the ignition settings, I see we are on a "toothed wheel" setting when in fact there is a EDIS, and a EDIS multispark setting as well. When you change the settings over to EDIS, several things change accordingly.

I sent the MSQ file to Matt Cramer at DIY an asked him to look at it, and we will see if he responds anytime this year.
